What is a Case Competition?
A case competition is designed to simulate a real-world consulting scenario where teams of four students must develop and present a solution for a given problem. The event officially begins at kick-off, where the case is introduced by a company representative.
Within the week-long time frame, all teams have an equal opportunity to research and compile their solutions. A panel of judges, consisting of corporate recruiters and professors, evaluate teams based on feasibility of recommendations, logic of critical thinking, and delivery of presentation. Selected teams advance to the final round, and the top three teams are ultimately awarded cash prizes.
This serves as an excellent opportunity for students to network with recruiters, practice case analyses, and improve presentation skills.
